Auditions for The Wrong Todd were held at the Providence Public Library on July 30th, 2016, from 10am-2pm by appointment only.

Todd / Other Todd

  • Role Type: Lead
  • Gender: Male
  • Age Range: 21-35
  • Ethnicity: All Ethnicities

  • Role Description: Todd is in his mid-twenties, slightly neurotic, and hates making big decisions. He loves his girlfriend, Lucy, but when she confronts him with the decision to move across country with her, he freezes up. Also played by the same actor is Other Todd, Todd’s more passionate double from a parallel universe, who arrives to steal Lucy from Todd.

Lucy

  • Role Type: Lead
  • Gender: Female
  • Age Range: 21-35
  • Ethnicity: All Ethnicities
  • Media required from applicants: Headshot/Photo, Video Reel
  • Role Description: Lucy is a mid twenties woman who is offended by broad social trends. She goes her own way, and has no problem taking the lead. When she asks her boyfriend Todd if he’ll come with her to Seattle, she can’t help but wish he was different when he’s not sure if he wants to go.

Dave / Other Dave

  • Role Type: Supporting
  • Gender: Male
  • Age Range: 21-35
  • Ethnicity: All Ethnicities

  • Role Description: Dave is a mid twenties lovable doofus, Lucy’s brother, and Todd’s best friend. He’s non-confrontational, and just wants everyone to “be cool, dude.” He’d rather not get involved in Todd and Lucy’s drama, but when Todd’s exact double from another universe shows up Dave finds he might not have a choice. This actor will also play Other Dave, the wearier, grief-stricken and more grown up double of Dave from another Universe.

Technician

  • Gender: Male
  • Age Range: 25-50
  • Ethnicity: All Ethnicities

  • Role Description: The Technician is a disgraced engineer on the run from the government for stealing sensitive experimental technology. Now he lives in an RV, zapping people into other dimensions for pay, suffering from an advanced case of paranoia.

    Candidate should be prepared to wear their crazy pants for audition.
